Alfred L. Reckaway, 73 of Edna passed away peacefully on Friday November 19, 2021. Alfred was born on October 21, 1948 in Cuero, Texas to Herman John Reckaway and Myrtle Agnes Reckaway.

Alfred is survived by his loving family; daughter and son-in-law Casi and Rick Cornejo, grandchildren; Taylor and Nick Helgerson, Kristen and Matthew Soderberg, Belle Cornejo and Blake Cornejo, great-grandchildren; Tobias Helgerson and Castiel Helgerson, also his siblings; Evelyn Utesey, Irene Blaylock, Bertha Kirchner, Karl Reckaway, Eva Mae and George Zbranek, and Charles and Dorothy Reckaway.  Also survived by many dearly loved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The following is a statement from Alfred to all his friends and family:

"I want everyone to know that I didn't have much in life as far as money, but all of my family & friends were like gold in my pockets, so you see, I never really was broke, I felt just like a millionaire having you all for family & friends, and I got you all to thank for that.  This told me that no one has to be rich with money to be a millionaire. Thanks Again, I love you all."
