Obituary

Faye Ann Haynes Shults of Boerne, Texas, went Home to be with her Savior on November 2, 2022,. She was 87. Ann was born in Ganado , Texas, to Edward and Fern Haynes on December 20 ,1934. She grew up in Vanderbilt and graduated from Industrial High School in 1953 where she played the flute in the high school band. She went on to attend Texas A&I University in Kingsville then taught at Petronila Elementary School in Robstown. She moved to Houston in 1961 and moved to Sugarland and lived there from 1974 to 2018. Ann marries Glen Robert Shults in 1957 and they had three sons, Scott, Gary, and Dean. Ann accepted Christ as her Savior in 1979 and spent  the rest of her life loving and serving Him in her church families at Quail Valley Community Church in Missouri City and Cornerstone Community Bible Church in Richmond. When she wasn't volunteering at church, she could be found in her yard under the pecan trees digging in her flower beds. She loved gardening and making beautiful flower arrangements. She had exquisite taste and enjoyed collecting antiques. Ann is survived by her brother, Howard Homer Haynes, and her children: Scott Shults and his wife Sarah and their son Alex, Gary Shults and his wife Susan and their children Natalie, Cameron, Marissa: and Dean Shults and his wife Tammie Jo and their children Sydney and Marshall, as well as four great grand children and numerous nieces and nephews. Ann was preceded in death by her parents; Edward Leo Haynes and Fern A. Breckel Haynes and her sister Jean Haynes Behne . Services will be held at Slavik Funeral Home at 209 N.Allen St. in Edna, Texas on Wednesday November 9, 2022, visitation with Ann's family at 11:00 am with a funeral to follow at noon. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Dallas Theological Seminary, 3909 Swiss Ave, Dallas, Texas 75204.  Services are under the directions of Slavik funeral Home  361-782-2152
