Araceli G. Zavala De Cortes, 62, of Ganado, went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday May 12, 2024.  Araceli was born on September 5, 1961 to Arturo and Esperanza Zavala.  She married her husband, Jesus Cortes, Sr. on January 17, 1980 and together they had 3 children.  She is survived by her daughter Cindy Cortez, sons Juan Cortes and Jesus (Juanita) Cortes, Jr. and seven grandchildren.  Visitation will be Wednesday May 15, 2024 from 4:00pm-7:00pm with a rosary being recited at 6:00pm at the Ganado Funeral Home chapel.  Funeral mass will be held Thursday May 16, 2024 at 10:00am at Assumption Catholic Church with interment to follow at Assumption Catholic Cemetery.  Pallbearers are Jesus Cortes, Jr., Juan Cortes, Reyjesus Cortez-Lara, Jose-Luis Cortez-Lara, Misail Cortez, and Michael Cortez.  Services are entrusted to the Todish family of Ganado Funeral Home.
