Barbara Hicks, 83 of Victoria, formerly of Ganado, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2019. Barbara was born on September 29, 1936 to Henry and Lillian Elias of Ganado. A 1955 graduate and Valedictorian of Ganado High School. she also worked at the Jackson County Tax office for several years. She is survived by her son Jason Hicks and daughters; Sharon Yarbrough and Tracy Damborsky, seven grandchildren; Tiffany Cutler, Heather Kurtz, Kyle Yarbrough, Kacie WIlliams, McKenna Yarbrough, Anjulee Yarbrough, and David Hicks, her six great-grandchildren; Adison Cutler, Ansley Cutler, Landon Yarbrough, Sydney Kurtz, Conley Kurtz and Grace Williams, also two of her sisters; Dorothy Stancik of Edna and Ann Taylor of Arizona. She is preceded in death by her parents, her son; Douglas Hicks, Jr., sisters; Josephine Schneider and Cindy Horton.

There will be a graveside service on Thursday, December 12, 2019 beginning at 2:00 pm with Deacon Red Hensley officiating. Services have been entrusted to Russell Todish of Slavik Funeral Home, 209 N. Allen Street, Edna, TX 77957, 361-782-2152.
