Barbara Wynell Morton

On Tuesday, May 17th, 1960 Barbara, the 9th child of Clarence Grady Morton and Avis Morton was born.  Barbara earned her heavenly wings on Friday, August 4th, 2023. 

After graduating from high school in 1979 she married Terry Lonny Floyd, where they were a family for 30 years.  Barbara was a homemaker where she took care of most things, which included raising their two sons, before becoming employed with different companies including Jackson Electric Co-Op, Jackson County Hospital District, along with other business thru out her life.

Barbara has been preceded in death by her parents; Clarence Grady Morton and Avis Morton, brother; Ronnie Morton, and sisters; Glenda Elledge and Debra Tolliver.

Those left to honor Barbara's memory include her beloved family, sons; Christopher Floyd and her daughter-in-law Lindsey, and Eric Floyd of Edna. BeBe also leaves behind her much beloved grandchildren; Trevor Floyd, MaKaney Floyd, Tanner Floyd, Kaylin Floyd and Karoline Floyd, her companion Torry Wayne Elliott, also brothers: Robert Morton and his wife Virginia from Amarillo, Texas, Dickie Morton and his wife Karla of Seminole, Texas, Montie Morton and his wife Elaine of Emory, Texas, Carey Morton and his wife Ester of Victoria, Texas, and her sister; Alane Archer and her husband Red of Lockney, Texas, her best friend, Betty and Martin Martinez of Quail Creek, and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and lots of friends.

Per the request of Barbara, there will be a private family graveside service on Monday, August 7, 2023.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the church she loved; At the Cross Fellowship 15773 East State Hwy 111, Yoakum, Texas 77995, (Mailing address   P. O. Box 628, Yoakum, TX 77995)
