Bernarda (Llanes) Gonzales

Bernarda "Bernice" Llanes Gonzales, 62, of Edna, passed away after a long term illness, on Friday, July 24, 2020. Bernice was born on Friday, October 11, 1957 in Wharton to Valerio Llanes, Sr. and Frances Salazar Llanes. After Bernice graduated from High School, she continued her education and got her teaching degree, she was employed by Edna ISD.  On May 13, 1978 she married the love of her life, Johnny Gonzales, and together they raised their three children. 

Bernice is survived by her mother Frances Llanes, husband Johnny, daughter, Joni Browning and her husband Jason, sons, John Gonzales and his wife Keri, and Bobby Gonzales and his wife Karen, also her five grandchildren, Carlos Gonzales, Fayth Gonzales, David Gonzales, Scarlett Gonzales and Hunter Gonzales, as well as her sister Barbara Carter, and her two brothers, Valerio Llanes, Jr. and Joe Llanes. She has been preceded in death by her father, Valerio Llanes, Sr. 

There was a graveside service on Sunday,  July 26, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Memory Gardens of Edna with Al Callies officiating.
