Beverly Jean White Zajicek
Beverly Zajicek passed away unexpectedly on July 7, 2025 at the age of 78. Beverly was born in Brownsville, Texas at Mercy Hospital on February 21, 1947 to Nedgel and Wilma Bush White. During her childhood, she was a member of the Pentecostal Church where she was baptized. She attended school in LaWard, Lolita and graduated from Industrial High School in 1965. She married Raymond Zajicek on November 27, 1965 at St. James Lutheran Church in Ganado after dating for 3 months. Beverly attended Victoria College to become a medication aide. She worked at Care Inn Nursing Home and Mauritz Memorial Hospital in Ganado. Beverly & Raymond then took over ownership of Ganado Feed Store from 1981-2001. She later took on a career as an EMT-Intermediate in Victoria. Throughout her life, she volunteered with various organizations including Ganado EMS, Girl Scouts, Ganado High School Band Boosters, St. James Lutheran Church Sunday School Teacher, and most recently, Ganado Nursing and Rehab. She enjoyed playing games with the family, tending to plants and pets, and watching the birds. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Nedgel & Wilma White, sister Patricia White and brother Vance White. Beverly is survived by her husband of 59 years, Raymond, daughters Kim Buxkemper and husband Donald, Pam El Gada, and son Doug Zajicek and wife Michelle. She was a proud grandmother to six grandsons, Blake Johnson and wife Caitlin, Jake Johnson, Eric Buxkemper and fiancee Leslie Winter, Taylor Buxkemper, Joshua Zajicek, and Aaron Zajicek, and great-grandson Levi Johnson. She is also survived by brothers Norvel White, and Garland White and wife Helen, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall in Ganado. Honorary Pallbearers are grandsons Blake Johnson, Jake Johnson, Eric Buxkemper, Joshua Zajicek, Aaron Zajicek, Taylor Buxkemper; Friends of the family - Dwayne Taylor and Nick Strauss
