Carl David Kudelka, of Ganado, passed away at the age of 69 on Sunday, October 22, 2023. He was born on Saturday, July 24, 1954 in Ganado, Jackson County, Texas to the late Louis V. Kudelka and Agnes Holec Kudelka. He married the love of his life, Georgie "Renee" Koenig on Sunday, October 9, 1977. He was a control operator for Alcoa, working in Precipitation, and was a member of the 25-Year Club. He retired from Alcoa in 2012 after almost 34 years of service. His favorite past time was fishing, which he enjoyed doing with his family and friends. He had a love for animals, cared deeply for his cats and was known as the cat man by many who knew him. In his earlier years, he loved fast cars, motorcycles, and loud mufflers. He never met a stranger and would help anyone in need.
Carl is survived by his wife Georgie Renee; son Carl "David" Kudelka, II and his wife Dana of Ganado, daughter Carrie Lynn Harvey and her husband Jason, and granddaughter, Kara Harvey of Alaska; brothers, Darrell and his wife Martha Kudelka of Ganado, and George Kudelka of Ganado, sisters; Ann Sternadel of Ganado, Josephine Meinke and her husband Gary of the Deutschburg Community, six nieces and four nephews.
Carl has been preceded in death by his parents; Louis V. Kudelka and Agnes Holec Kudelka, brothers, Leroy Kudelka and Daniel Kudelka of Ganado, brother-in-law, Kenneth Sternadel of Ganado, and niece Shelly Kudelka, also two infant nieces; Sarah and Patricia Sternadel.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contribution be made to The American Heart Association.
Services will be held at St. James Lutheran Church on Wednesday, November 8,2023, visitation will be from 12:noon until 1:00 pm, followed by Funeral Services/Celebration of Life Service at 1:00 pm with Pastor Rose Marie Doucette officiating. Interment will follow at Assumption Catholic Cemetery.
