Carol Crist Obituary

Carol Belle Gandy Crist went to be with the Lord at the age of 71 on Thursday, April 14, 2022 after a long battle with Cancer.  Carol was born on September 1, 1950 in Ganado, Texas to Harvey Hugh and Elsie Gandy.  Carol comes from the small community of Edna and received her banking experience in Houston.  After 25 years in the big city, Carol and Ronnie relocated to Port Alto and she continued her banking career with First Victoria National Bank (now known as Prosperity Bank) in Port Lavaca.

Carol was a loving wife to Ronnie and mother to Jeremy (Krysta) Crist and will be dearly missed.  Carol is survived by her loving husband of 51 years and son Jeremy, and his wife Krysta Crist, sister Virgie (Butch) Houck, niece Kristie (Mark) Sievers and their children, and nephew Robby and (Anna) Williams and their children. Also a special sister friend, Joy Erfurdt, and many other special friends.

There will be a Celebration of Life to honor Carol on Saturday, April 23rd at 10:00 am at Bayside Community Church in Port Alto.  In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Carol's name to: Bayside Community Church, 25080 State Hwy 172, Port Lavaca, TX 77979.
