Charlie Joseph "Uncle Joe" Schafer

Charlie Joseph "Uncle Joe" Schafer, at the age of 72, went home to his forever home on Thursday, March 10, 2022. Uncle Joe was born in Ganado to Charlie and Mary Ellen Schafer on Thursday, August 18, 1949.  He has been survived by his two nephews, Jason Rozner and Robby Rozner.  Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Silvester Schafer and Mary Ellen Janica Schafer, and his sister Charlotte "Sue" Rozner.  Joe lived most of his life in Ganado, with the exception of the time he was serving his country in the U.S. Army.  After returning home he worked in the oilfield and also the County Transfer Station.  He will be truly missed by his loving and caring family.  

There will be a private family graveside service on Thursday, March 24, 2022, at 10:00 am at Ganado Cemetery.
