D. W. "Billy" Tate,  88, of Edna passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2019. Billy was born on September 22, 1931 in Yoakum, TX to Ell Roy and Clara Tate. Billy served our country by serving in the US Army for two years. Billy is survived by his children; Pat Ideus, Sandra Kubecka, David Tate and Robert  Tate.  He is preceded in death by his parents,  his wife; Marjorie Mae Tate, and their daughter; Beverly Sablatura. There will be a visitation on Sunday, January 5, 2020 beginning at 1:pm, followed by a Funeral Service at 2:pm at Slavik Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Salem Cemetery in Ezzell, TX.
