Dennis Gerald George, 71, of Angleton, Texas passed away on November 15, 2025 after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on May 18, 1954 in Seguin, Texas to William George and Doris Cihal George. At a young age he moved with his family to Ganado, Texas. Dennis caught a ride with a friend who was driving to Freeport to interview at The Dow Chemical Company. Dennis decided to ride along, because he had never seen the beach before. It was on that adventure that Dennis landed himself a job at Dow where he worked for 35 years.
In 1977 Dennis married the love of his life, Brenda Sulak at Assumption Catholic Church in Ganado and made their home in a little yellow house in Danbury, Texas. They later built their family home in Angleton.
In 1979, Dennis and Brenda grew their family from two to three when they welcomed their only child, Jaclyn. Dennis spent his life being the most dedicated dad and husband to both of them.
In 2006, Dennis took on his most cherished role as Papoo to his grandchildren, Jackson and Presley. In 2010, Grayson was added to his growing family. He became their biggest fan and supporter in everything they did.
Dennis was a fun-loving, genuine man who never knew a stranger. He was an amazing friend, husband, dad, and Papoo, and we will miss him dearly.
He is preceded in death by his parents William George and Doris Cihal George Fowler, and his step-father Bruce Fowler.
He is survived by his siblings Lana Tatsch, Brenda Gail George, William George, and David George. Also left to cherish his memory are his mother and father in law, June and Lad Sulak, brother and sister-in law, Mark and Tina Walch and sister in law, Carol Sulak. He also leaves behind those he loved the most - his wife Brenda George, daughter Jaclyn George, and his grandchildren Jackson, Presley and Grayson.
His funeral will be celebrated at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Ganado on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at 10:00 am. with a rosary being recited at 9:30 am.
Services are entrusted to the Todish family of Ganado & Slavik Funeral Homes.
