Edwin "Joe" Maresh

Edwin "Joe" Maresh passed away from this physical life to eternal life on Sunday, September 11th, 2022, at the age of 75.  Joe was born in El Campo, Texas on Tuesday, February 18th, 1947 to Edwin Maresh and Melva Baker Maresh.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, James Anthony "Tony" Maresh.  He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Brenda Jo Wilson Maresh and a son Wade Anthony Maresh. He is also survived by two sisters, Brenda Rose and Suzanne Matak (Willie Ray), and three brothers, David Maresh, Michael Maresh (Brenda) and Scott Maresh (Liz), numerous nieces and nephews, and his Christian family at the Robinson Street Church of Christ in Edna.

Joe worked for the Texas Highway Department, until his retirement in April of 2000, after 26 years of service.

Joe's Funeral Service will be held at Slavik Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, September 15th, 2022 at 10:00 am, with visitation beginning at 9:00 am before the service, with gospel preacher, Phillip Stuckey officiating.  A graveside service will be held at Memory Gardens in Edna following the service.

Those serving as pallbearers are Steve Brandon, Terry Hahn, Tyler Maresh, Bowen Rose, James Smith and Jeremy Wilson.
