Mrs. Evelyn Ruth Hoffman, age 79, died in Yoakum, Texas, on Thursday, February 9, 2023, she was born on Thursday, November 11, 1943, in Placedo, Texas, she lived in Ganado, Texas, Evelyn was a great homemaker and a loving neighbor.  She has been survived by her wonderful and beloved family, her children, Taunya Garrett (Millard Garrett), David Hoffman (Stephanie Hoffman), and Tammy Ashley, and her only surviving brother, George Slavik.  Her Grandchildren: Ambria Garrett, Brandon Coleman, Carl Coleman, Jr., (Nina Russell), Jennifer Coleman Partridge, Memorie Hoffman (Mike Hart), Cody Ashley, Skye Marie, Heather Hoffman, Summer Davis, and Susan Ashley.  Her Great-Grandchildren:  Brayden Russell, Everlee Coleman, Carl Coleman, III, Faith Coleman, Colton Baker, Jade Ybarra, Dale Fees, Jadyn Coleman, Emmaly Barnhart, Journey Coleman, Eva Coleman, Kaitlin Baker, Kira Coleman, Lena Fees, Lily Coleman, Sapphire Hoffman, Shelby Partridge (Robert Coleman), Syhanne Gibson, Thomas Partridge, Kiera Russell.  Also her Great-Great-Grandchildren: Azaria Coleman, Zailyn Brown, and Cody Bobby Ashley.  

Evelyn has been preceded in death by her parents; Fred and Alma Slavik, her husband, Bobbie Hoffman, brothers; Julius, Allen, Bobby, Alvin and James.  Great Grandchildren, Mary Ellen Partridge and Lincoln Coleman. 

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, beginning with visitation from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Ganado  with Reverend Roy Meadows officiating, interment will follow at Red Bluff Cemetery in Lolita, Texas. 

Our Prayer for Evelyn:

Eternal rest, grant unto them, O Lord,

and let perpetual light shine upon them.

May the souls of te faithful departed

through the mercy of God rest in peace.
