Frances Castillo Rosales, a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and faithful servant of the Lord, entered into eternal rest in the comforting promise of her Savior at the age of 91 on December 4, 2025.  Frances was born in Flatonia, Texas on August 4, 1934, to Guadalupe Torres Rodriguez and Tomas Castillo.  Frances was preceded in death by her husband Benito Rosales; daughter Delia Rosales; and siblings Romana Reyes, Ignacio Rodriguez, John Rodriguez, Ascension Morales, and Maria Gallargo.  She is survived by her sister, Marina Morse. Frances shared a special bond with her grandmother, Guadalupe Torres, who passed on September 18, 1972, and whose guidance and love shaped Frances throughout her life.  Frances's greatest joy was her family.  Frances is survived by her children Lupe Vasquez of Ganado, Texas, Santos Rosales and wife Betty Jean of Dallas, Texas, Dominga Zepeda and husband Bobby Zepeda of Needville, Texas, Flora Chytka and husband Jack Chytka of Victoria, Texas, Ofemia Slavik and husband Coy Slavik of Victoria, Texas, Frances Green and husband John Green of Inez, Texas, Jeanette Sooley of Houston, Texas, and Geraldine Edmundson and husband Neil Edmundson of Pinehurst, Texas.  Frances is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.  Frances lived her life with humility, generosity and unwavering faith.  She believed in the power of prayer, trusted God's promises, and faced every hardship with quiet strength.  During her final days in the hospital and hospice care, she repeatedly sang "Jesus Loves Me" knowing she was soon to be with Him.  

As we mourn her passing, we take comfort in the words of Scripture:  "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7.  Frances is now at peace, embraced by her Heavenly Father, and resting in the glory of eternal life.

A funeral service will be held on Friday December 12, 2025, at 10:00am at Ganado Funeral Home chapel in Ganado, Texas. Interment will follow at Saint Wenceslaus Catholic Cemetery 6921 SH-540 Loop Beasley, Texas 77417.
