Francisca "Frances" Cantu Gonzales

Francisca "Frances" Cantu Gonzales, 91, formerly of Kenedy, Texas was called home by her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 14, 2024.  Frances was born in Runge, Karnes County, Texas on Friday, April 22, 1932 to Pedro Rodriguez and Virginia Cantu.  

Frances was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, also a devoted housewife, she will be truly missed by her family and friends who knew her.  Frances has been survived by her beloved family, daughters; Elsa G. Flores and her husband Juan, Elizabeth A. Olvera, Gloria Guerra, Bertha "Irma" Garza and her husband David and Mary Torres and her husband Julian. She is also survived by her fourteen grandchildren; Michelle E. Flores Gordon and her husband Steven Dwayne Gordon, Aaron J. Flores and his wife Cassi Tran, Carlos Gonzales, Jamie Lynn Salas, Briana Marie Vazquez and her husband Silverio, Melissa A. Guerra, Adolfo Guerra, Jr., Aaron Guerra and his wife Ashley De Luna, Martin A. Guerra and his wife Breeann, Jessica N. Nielsen McCants, Casey J. Garza, Cecilia M. Zavala and her husband Eleno, Robert L. Gonzales and Maria Begonia Ramirez and her husband Agustin.  Frances was blessed with thirty-four Great-Grandchildren; Steven D. Gordon, Jr., Colby L. Gordon, Scarlett L. Flores, Ryker E. Nielsen McCants, Zayne D. Nielsen McCants, Inez Vasquez, Iliana Rene Vasquez, Destiny Vasquez, Marisol Vasquez, Kailey Salas, Jimmy L. Robles, Kailyn Salas, Jaidyn Robles, Justyn Guerra, Rosa Casarez and her husband Raul, Ariyala Guerra, Jeremiah Guerra, Braxton Guerra, Cruz Guerra, Carolina Montalvo, Aliyanna Guerra, Adolfo I. Guerra, Jonathan Guerra, Joshua Guerra, Madison Guerra, Gabriella Guerra, Jagger Guerra, Aria Guerra, Leilani Guerra, Novah Guerra, Everly Guerra, Maria A. Ramirez, Zaira N. Ramirez and Karina J. Ramirez, as well as her five Great-Great-Grandchildren. Ashton Casarez, Anaya Casarez, Ava Casarez, K'Y' Riel Huff and Emma Luna Ramos.

Frances has been preceded in death by her parents; Pedro Rodriguez and Virginia Cantu, as well as both her husbands; Samuel Gonzales and Reyes Velasquez, and two of her daughters; Elvira Gonzales and Alicia Gonzales.

Services will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Slavik Funeral Home Chapel, visitation will begin at 1:30 pm, with Rosary being recited at 2:00 pm, followed by the Memorial Service at 2:30 pm with Deacon Red Hensley of Assumption Catholic Church officiating.
