Frank Zikuhr

Frank Zikuhr 78, passed away on February 15, 2024. He was a beloved father, husband, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Frank was born to Louis and Sadie Zikuhr on August 22,1945. He spent his formative years in Damon Texas. He went on to join the United States Army and later become a member of the Carpenters Union and work at STP. Throughout his career he was known for his hard work, dedication, and passion. He married the love of his life, Mary “Penny” Hurt, on February 22, 1975.

More than anything, Frank was a devoted father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, sharing stories, playing games, and telling jokes. He was always there to offer guidance, support, and encouragement, no matter what challenges they faced.

In his free time, Frank enjoyed spending time outdoors gardening, tinkering and being with his family. He was always eager to share his knowledge and skills with others. He loved to make people laugh and thought life was a gift.

Frank was preceded in death by mother Sadi Zikuhr (Loesch), Father Louis Frank Zikuhr, his wife Mary “Penny” Zikuhr, sister Bernice Bass, brother Earl Zikuhr, and daughter Tammy Zikuhr.

Frank is survived by his sister Betty Bullard, his sons and their spouses, Jason & Kalea Zikuhr, Timothy & Faith Zikuhr, and Brandon & Elizabeth Zikuhr, and his grandchildren, Alexcia, Alyssa, Kaylie, Jasmine, Jermaine, Alexis, Danni, Sadie, Cole Easton and Noah. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held for family and friends at the First Baptist Church 400 Buechman Rd. in Ganado on February 19, 2024, at 11am.
