Gloria E. Schillinger Schaffer, 94, formerly of Edna, Texas passed away on Monday, October 31, 2022 at her home in Woodway, Texas.  Gloria was born on October 29, 1928 in East St. Louis, Illinois to Frank Schillinger and Elizabeth Martin Schillinger.

Gloria married her best friend, Rockne Schaffer and together they raised their three children, Roxanne, Donald and Paul. Gloria, was a loving daughter, sister, wife and mother, and grandmother, as well as great grandmother, also a homemaker for her family.  Gloria is survived by her Daughter, Roxanne Garza, her son and daughter-in-law, Donald Edward Schaffer, Jr and Marie, daughter-in-law, Nancy Lopez Schaffer and her beloved grandchildren, Eddie and Candice Schaffer, Richard and Lois Schaffer, Rockne Schaffer, and Alecia Schaffer Gonzalez and her husband Derek. Also her great-grandchildren, Trevor, Avery, Kilea, Larkyn, Henny and Landon, and her one and only great-great granddaughter, Saige Ford. She has been preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Elizabeth Schillinger, husband Rockne Schaffer, brother Al Schillinger, sister Betty Hoops and her son, Paul Richard Schaffer, grandson, Scott Alan Garza and her son-in-law, Alan R. Garza.

There will be a visitation on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Slavik Funeral Home Chapel from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.  Funeral Service will be Friday, November 4, 2022 at Slavik Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Larry Green officiating.  Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Edna.
