James Louis New Obituary

James (Bud) New entered his eternal home in heaven after battling various medical problems at the age of 63 years, 7 months, and 3 days.  Bud was a member of the First Baptist Church Indianola.  He worked for Inteplast Group Profile Maintenance as a Senior II mechanic for 28 years.  He was very sufficient in his labor and knowledge rendered in his service to the company.  He enjoyed singing and playing his guitar for family and friends. Bud was a great singer and musician and the lead vocalist in several country and western bands.  Bud enjoyed spending time with friends barbecuing and playing music, gardening, fishing and various outdoor activities.  He is preceded in death by his parents Oscar and Jane New and one brother, Clarence New.  He is survived by two sons Scott Alan New and wife Mary Jane of Brazoria, Justin Michael New and wife Megan of Victoria, one daughter Amanda Diane Staff and husband Josh of Sweet Home, seven grandchildren Jonathan New, Breanna New, Jet Swain, Tuunsaa New, Lilian Elizabeth New, Hunter Mitchell, Haley Mitchell and Cody Mitchell, one brother Brent New and wife Tana and one sister Rebecca Lynn Utesey and husband Carlton.  A graveside service will be held on March 29, 2025, at 10:00am at Speaks Community Cemetery, Speaks, Texas with Rev. Brent New officiating.  Services are entrusted to the Todish family of Slavik & Ganado Funeral Homes.
