James Harlan Sanders, 54 years young, was called home by his Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 26, 2023.  James was born in Bay City, Texas on Friday, February 7, 1969 to Jimmy and Carol Sanders.  James has been survived by his loving family,  mother, Carol Sanders, wife, Denise Sanders, brother Steven Sanders and his wife Kaylynn, mother-in-law, Linda Denker and most especially his beloved children; Celeste Sanders, Austin Sanders and Addisyn Sanders, also his nieces; Krista Sanders, Shaie Sanders and Shannan Sanders, and nephew, Garrett Tupa and his wife Brittany. He has been preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Sanders.

James loved life! In fact, he would often tell you, "OUT-SHHANDING!" and he said it often. His phone was always in use talking to his friends, co-workers, customers, family for hours on end. How he recalled all those stories that he could recite over and over is beyond me, but he loved to tell stories of his life. When James would laugh, tears had to be wiped from his eyes. In fact, many nights he laughed in his sleep. He gave good strong handshakes, and was known as a Good Genuine Man. A Christian. He loved us and we all knew it. I am thankful for all the vacations we took as a family. We have memories that will last us a lifetime. I know this man left his mark on the world. He will be remembered by many, and this is a testament of how he treated others. The silver lining is knowing he is reunited with his Dad, gets to finally meet my Dad, and his other family and friends in Heaven.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to help defray the cost of the funeral, as well as medical expenses.

There will be a Celebration of Life Service to Honor the life of James on Monday, December 11th, 2023 at Slavik Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Rick Dubroc officiating, beginning with visitation from 9:am to 10:am, Rosary being recited at 10:am and Memorial Service at 10:30 am.
