Jarrell "Jay" Jwan Goss, 32 of Edna passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021. Jarrell was born on Friday, June 23, 1989 in Milner, Georgia to Stacey Colquitt, and Casandra Goss Godfrey Jarrell is survived by his wife, Maricruz Goss, son Zayden Goss, Father and Step-mother Stacey and Bobbieann Colquitt, Mother Cassandra Goss Godfrey, siblings; Juanita (Derek) Watson, Tracey (Jeremiah) Sullivan and Rashad (Joanna) Goss, Step-Sisters; Queshawn Banks, Step-Brothers; Cedrick Jenkins and Homa Keith Anthony. Jay has been preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; Charlie and Dorris Colquitt, and his maternal Grandmother; Sara W. Goss.
Jay graduated from Lamar County High School in Barnesville, Georgia. Jay was very respectable, loving, fun, and always had a smile on his face and loved to joke around. He always made sure that everyone was taken care of. He has lived in Texas for the past seven years, he started his Texas life in Beeville, Texas with his wife, Maricruz. They moved to Edna six years ago, started their life together and joined the O'Reilly Company, where he met so many of the residents of Jackson County, and made many friends. Officially married in April of 2021, he always took care of his wife and his family members. He loved playing the Game with his cousin and family members, he could play for hours. He also enjoyed listening to music and he was always trying to upgrade the music system in his truck, you could hear him coming from blocks away.
There will be a Viewing on Friday, September 24, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Slavik Funeral Home Chapel.
