Jennifer (Tristan) Dean Obituary

Jennifer Tristan Dean, age 49, loving mother, grandmother, sister, and adoring wife to husband Toney Dean, passed away on February 13, 2022.  Jennifer was born on March 18th, 1972, in El Campo, Texas to Caroline Tristan (Cortes). She graduated from Ganado High School and had a long career in the healthcare field.  Jennifer grew up surrounded by her large family.  She enjoyed every minute spent with her siblings, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and the family she gained in marriage.  As a mother and grandmother, she was generous, loving, and kind and she never missed a chance to spoil them as much as she possibly could.  She will be greatly missed by her family and especially her children and grandchildren: Mariah, Caroline, Edwin, Jr., and Sirena who adore her will all their hearts.

Jennifer is preceded in death by her mother Caroline Cortes and brother Christopher Tristan, Sr. She is survived by husband Toney Dean, Daughters Mariah Kirby (Edwin, Sr.), and Caroline Dean, grandchildren Edwin Baites, Jr., Gianna Baites, and Sirena Baites, stepfather Jose Cortes, Father Oscar Jimenez, sisters Sarah Gonzalez (Manuel), Maria Cortes (Marc), sister-in-law Erica Gutierrez Tristan, nieces Emma Gonzalez, Hannah Gonzalez, Sophie Gonzalez, Samantha Mendez, and nephews Javier Facio, Christopher Tristan, Jr. and Benjamin Mendez.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 16th, 2022, at Ganado Funeral Home Chapel from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a rosary being recited at 6:00 pm.  Graveside services will be held at the Assumption Catholic Cemetery on Thursday, February 17th, 2022, at 10:00 am.  A reception will be held immediately after the service at the Parish Hall.

Pallbearers will be Primitivo Tristan, III, Manuel Gonzalez, Marc Mendez, Keith Childs, John Hardeway and Jacory Robinson.  Honorary Pallbearers are her grandchildren, nieces, nephews, Edwin Baites, Sr., stepchildren, step grandchildren and Adele "Granny" Dilworth.
