Jon "Brent" Allen Obituary

Jon Brent Allen passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2021.  Brent, as he liked to be called, was born on Saturday, December 30, 1950 in San Antonio, TX to Dorothy Allen and William  Anderson Allen, Jr.  The third son of four, he was 70 years old and in great health at the time of his untimely passing.

Brent loved the outdoors including fishing, hunting, and farming.  He loved spending time with his family and often went on vacations and attended various family functions with his younger brother David and family.  While vacationing in Costa Rica on one of these family trips, we lost Brent doing what he loved, with those he loved, while visiting the ocean.

Brent was a graduate of the University of Texas in Austin and a graduate of the University of Texas San Antonio, and worked for VIA until he retired in April 2021.  He will be remembered for his love of family and friends, his willingness to help whenever asked and his positive outlook on life.  He was an incredible brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend who is truly missed.

He is survived by his brother David Allen and partner Tami; Nephew Austin Allen; Nephew Alan Allen, and wife Terri and their daughter Caitlin; Step-nephews Kenneth Hernandez and Allen Hernandez; Step-nieces Kimberly Hernandez, Jennifer Hernandez, and Elizabeth Allen and her son Dean Acosta.

Brent has been preceded in death by his father William Anderson Allen, Jr; his mother Dorothy Allen Smith; and his brothers Jeffrey W. Allen and Garey Michael Allen.
