Kathy Jean Steele, 61 of Edna, passed away on Friday, January 28, 2022.  Kathy was born on December 22, 1960, in Ganado, Jackson County to Leonard and Maggie Damborsky.  She has been survived by her children, Morgan Jean Smithwick, of Edna, Texas, and Joe and Beverly Smithwick of Huntley, Illinois. Also survived by her six grandchildren, Mallory Mixon, Zaine Smithwick, Maggie Jean Mixon, Ava Lee Smithwick, Elsie Smithwick, and John Terrell Mixon, IV.  Kathy has been preceded in death by her parents, Maggie Jean Damborsky and Leonard Ray Damborsky, also her husband, Anthony Steele.

There will be a Celebration of Life Service on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, beginning at 2:00 pm at Slavik Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Larry Green officiating.
