Leonard Spree Obituary

Leonard Myron Spree, passed away on Wednesday, March 2nd, 2022, after a hard-fought battle with cancer at the age of 59 years old.  Leonard was born on Wednesday, October 17th, 1962, in Edna, Texas to loving parents Lola and Homer Spree.

Leonard spent most of his childhood doing what he loved, hunting, fishing, and working on his family's farm.  In 1980 he graduated from Edna High School.  Following his graduation, Leonard moved to Houston, Texas where he met the love of his life, Lisa Heiser.  Lisa and Leonard got married on May 27th, 1990 and enjoyed 31 years of marriage and two beautiful daughters.

Throughout his life, Leonard was a hard-working driven man.  He worked in the HVAC industry for over 30 years.  Following this, he was self-employed and then decided to spend a year in Afghanistan to help provide for his family working for Halliburton.  Leonard ended his career at Triple S Steel Holdings, where he worked as a Warehouse Supervisor.

In his free time, Leonard enjoyed poker nights, fishing and hunting with his best friend, Chris Harrell, and working on his dream barn dominium on his family's farm.

Leonard lived an honorable life and was dearly loved by many.  He was always there to help relatives and friends with anything they needed.  From household projects to anything that needed fixing, Leonard was always willing to lend his hand to serve others.  Of his many accomplishments throughout his life, Leonard would say he was most proud of raising his two daughters, Shanna and Ashley.

Leonard's family is incredibly proud of the strength and courage that he displayed up to his last days.

Leonard is survived by his mother, Lola Spree; brother and sister-in-law, Delton and Jewel Spree; wife. Lisa Spree; and his daughters and sons-in-law, Ashley and Wayne Vaughan, and Shanna and Bryce Griffin.  And not to forget his grand dogs Belle, Zoey, and Ollie.
