Linda Ann Hamilton Rehak passed away following a short illness on November 20, 2024, at the age of 72.  She was born on January 26, 1952, in Ganado, Texas to Henry Judson and Mary Gene Leslie Hamilton.  Linda graduated from Edna High School, Class of 1971.  She met and soon married her sweetheart Robert Rehak.  Robert, Linda, and their “critters” spent many happy years together until his passing on January 12, 2009.  Linda was a dedicated and hard-working employee at Gary’s Drive In in Edna for 25 plus years. 

In her spare time, she enjoyed woodworking with her sister, Leslie, fishing with her family, and baseball.  She especially enjoyed coaching girls softball teams.  She loved cats!  She had great memories of all of her “fur babies” from the past.  Her last two, Oscar and June Bug, gave her many hours of fun and entertainment.  Linda was a sweet, plain, and very simple lady.  Her wardrobe mainly consisted of jeans and casual cat T-Shirts.  She told her family long ago that was also what she wanted to wear to heaven, and her request has been fulfilled!  She went on to say that it would be great if all who came to her service wore comfortable, casual cat t-shirts.

Linda is survived by her sisters Cathy Davis and Leslie Hamilton, and sister-in-law Sharon Hamilton Voitek and husband Dennis; nieces and nephews, Gretchen Pyle and husband John, John and wife Cynthia Davis, Will Davis and Jason and Bonnie Hamilton.  Also, a host of friends and extended family.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Memory Gardens of Edna with Mr. Joe McClanahan officiating.  Serving as pallbearers are Will Davis, John Davis, Jason Hamilton, Darren Foster, Kenny Moore, and Oscar Hinojosa.  Honorary pallbearer will be Gretchen Pyle.  Memorial gifts may be given to the charity of your choice.
