Lupe Alaniz, 66, of Ganado, Texas, passed away October 11, 2024. He was born December 12, 1957, in El Campo Texas to the late Alfred and Margarita Alaniz.
He dedicated over 45 years of his life to the oil field, working in heavy hauling. His commitment to his work was only matched by his love for classic cars, which he cherished and admired throughout his life. Lupe had a flair for storytelling and was known for his unique nicknames for friends, relishing the camaraderie and laughter that came with BSing around.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years Debbie Alaniz, son Ricky and Sarah Alaniz, daughter Chelsie and John Benavides and grandchildren Blaydn, Rylan and Easton Alaniz, Arianna and Cora Benavides as well as siblings Carmel Gonzalez, Janie Alaniz, Adella Samaripa, Anita Contreras and Maggie McCullough.
Lupe has been preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Margarita Alaniz and siblings Frank, Johnny, Emilio, Alfred, Jessie, Joe, Ruben and Ramon Alaniz, Dora Alaniz, Mary Sanchez, Sarah and Sylvia Alaniz.
Above all, Lupe was a devoted father and grandfather, cherishing the time he spent with his children and grandchildren. His love and generosity knew no bounds; and the indelible mark he left on everyone fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in peace.
Visitation will begin at 4 PM on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, followed by a Rosary service at 6:30 PM at Ganado Funeral Home in Ganado, Texas
