Ronnie Sylvester Simicek, 70, of Ganado, passed away Saturday November 9, 2024. He was born on December 1, 1953, to Sylvester and Mary Effie Simicek. Ronnie was a true outdoorsman, and his passion for nature was nothing short of contagious. He reveled in the thrill of hunting and the tranquility being in of the woods. For him, the pursuit was never solely about the catch; it was about the stories shared around the campfire, and the time spent with family. He was not only an outdoorsman but a talented gunsmith, always honing his craft and seeking new projects. Attending gun shows was one of his favorite pastimes, where he enjoyed discovering hidden treasures and restoring them to life. If you ventured into a conversation with him about his trade, you were guaranteed to hear a story about his latest project. Above all, Ronnie treasured his family. He enjoyed a loving marriage of 25 years with his wife, Ellen, with whom he shared countless beautiful memories. After her passing, he faced an uncertain future, but fate smiled upon him again when he found love with his second soulmate, Sherri. Their bond brought him immense joy, and he was forever grateful to have her by his side. Ronnie's heart swelled with pride for his four grandchildren--Tanner, Cullen, Mellie and Luke. He adored each of them deeply and cherished every moment spent together. Ronnie is survived by his children Sarah Woodring (Wesley) and Ronnie Joe Simicek (Maggie), companion Sherri Giljum, sister Sandra Grahmann and 4 grandchildren. The family will receive visitors at 12:00pm Friday November 15, 2024, at Assumption Catholic Church in Ganado, Texas with a rosary being recited at 1:30pm.
