Roy John Ramirez

Roy John Ramirez gained his wings on November 19th, 2021.  He was born on November 17th, 1959 to Virginia and Mercedes Ramirez.  Roy loved the Lord, spending time with family and friends, enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys and listening to his rock-n-roll music.  Roy was an awesome, loving, caring brother, uncle, brother-in-law and friend.  He is survived by his four sisters; Lori Soto (Ben), Ida Romero (Justin) both of Edna, Gloria Liendo (Rudy) and Rebecca Ramirez, both of Cuero, and his three brothers: Ernest Ramirez (Connie) of Seguin, Robert Ramirez (Kim) of Mission Valley and Pedro Martinez of Cuero.  He is preceded in death by his brother Hector Ramirez and his cousin Jessie Ramirez, a close aunt who helped raise him, Gumecinda Martinez, and his parents, Virginia and Mercedes Ramirez.

Pallbearers include: Brian Liendo, Zacharee Ramirez, Kaden Ramirez, Jacoby Mendez, Benjamin Soto and Justin Romero.

The family of Roy Ramirez would like to thank everyone for taking time out of their day to spend time with us.  A special thank you to Liberty Dialysis, Dr. Khan and Dr. Kumar, Jackson County Transit, Efficiency Air, both of Edna, and everyone else who helped Roy in his time of need.

There will be a Funeral Service for Roy on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 beginning with a visitation from 9:00am to 11:00am, Rosary being recited at 11:00 am, and Funeral Mass at 11:30 am at St. Aloysius Mission Church in Westhoff, Texas. Interment will immediately follow at Westhoff Catholic Cemetery.

Services have been entrusted to Russell Todish of Slavik Funeral Home, 209 N. Allen Street, Edna, TX 77957, 361-782-2152.
