Sandra Lee (Tristan) Gutierrez

Our sister, Sandra Lee Tristan Gutierrez, passed away at the age of 61 on Thursday, September 7, 2023.  She was born in Ganado, Texas to Dionicio "Shorty" Tristan and Lois Rosales Hurta on February 20, 1961.  Sandra was affiliated with and baptized at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Ganado, Texas.

Sandra is survived by her four children: Brian Estrada (Nancy Estrada), Arthur Estrada, Jr., Blake Estrada (Crystal Martinez), Crystal Estrada (Bob Snodgrass), her five beloved grandchildren: Jenay, Cleo, Brian, Jr., Max and Catalina, also her two great-grandchildren: Luna and Sol.

She is survived by her 14 siblings and numerous nephews and great-nephews and nieces and great nieces.  Brothers: Donnie, Jr. and his wife Darlene, Tommy and his wife Diane, Joe and his wife; Maggie, Steven and his wife Linda, Faustino "Tino" Gerald and his wife Dora.  Sisters: Rita Garza and her husband Jesse, Paula Mendez and her husband; Charlie, Mary Jane Arrerondo, Ester Baggett and her husband Ervin, Cindy Rivera and her husband Luis.  Sandra is preceded in death by our parents: Dionicio "Shorty" Tristan, Lois Rosales Tristan Huerta and step-father, Faustino "Tino" Huerta, Sr. and our beloved sister, Sally Smithwick.

Sister:

God saw you getting tired, a cure was not to be, so He put his arms around you and whispered, "Come with Me."

With tearful eyes we watched you and saw you fade away.  Although we loved you dearly we could not make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating your tender hands at rest, God took you home to prove to us He only takes the best.

Services were held on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Ganado Funeral Home, visitation began at 2:00 pm, with Rosary being recited at 3:00 pm with Deacon Kevin Petrash officiating.
