Sidney Ervin Pecha, 91, passed away peacefully on Sunday June 2, 2024.  Sidney was born on July 29, 1932 to Anton and Lydia Pecha.  He enlisted in the Navy in 1951 and was stationed in Honolulu, Hawaii where he earned awards for good conduct and national defense.  Sidney is survived by his daughter Donna Plummer (Tommy), grandchildren Jennifer Plummer and Jason Plummer (Ashton), great-grandchildren William Johnson, Brodie Plummer and Gunnar Plummer; sisters Irene Herreth and Evelyn Bures; and step-children Rose Garza, Norma Soto, Ray Soto, Joey Soto, Julie Tirado, Lupe DeLeon and Valerie Soto.  He is preceded in death by his parents, 1st wife Nevadene Pecha, 2nd wife Lena Pecha, grandson Tommy Plummer Jr., sister Lillian Olsovsky and brother Henry Pecha.  The family will receive visitors on Wednesday June 5, 2024 from 1:30pm-2:30pm at the Ganado Funeral Home chapel.  The funeral service will begin at 2:30pm with Pastor Rosemarie Doucette officiating.  Interment to follow at Red Bluff Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jason Plummer, Mclean Raybon, Tony Herreth, David Herreth, Lonnie Bures and Cole Courville.  Honorary pallbearers are William Johnson, Gunnar Plummer, Brodie Plummer, John Herreth, and Robbie Pecha. The family would like to thank Harbor Hospice of Rockport for their care, especially Ellen Carter and Priscilla Zavala; and to Chiffon Foster for her love and care the past couple of months.
