Susie (Jordan) Simons

Susie Simons, 89 of Port Lavaca, Texas passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021.  She was born on Thursday, September 4, 1931 to Darrell Jordan and Katie Garrett Jordan.  In her younger years, Susie was an avid reader and enjoyed playing Canasta Card Game with her friends from Olivia.  She was also a member of the First United Methodist Church in Palacios.

Susie is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edwin "Sonny" Simons and is survived by her daughters; Martha Jenkins and husband Joe, Donna Baker and husband Mike, sons Laval Simons and Darrell Simons and wife Dale; her nine grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

There was a graveside service on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 10:00 am at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Edna with Pastor Dave Moreno officiating. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in Susie's name to the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
