Tyler James Tesch Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Tyler James Tesch passed away on June 28, 2024, at the age of 28 after a courageous and relentless battle with cancer.  Tyler was born on January 20, 1996, in Victoria, Texas to parents Daniel and Cheryl Tesch and grew up in Lolita, Texas.  His siblings, Jacob and Abby, were beside him exploring creek beds near their home, climbing trees and racing each other down the road they loved on to make the most of their childhood.  As the years went on Tyler spend countless hours fishing, boating and duck hunting.  If he had any spare moments, you would usually find him on the water and hanging out with his family.  He spent quite a bit of time playing chess and also enjoyed bowling with his best friend Stefan Armstrong.  He had a passion for motorcycles and was extremely proud of his Honda VTX 1300.  A vibrant soul who brought light and laughter to everyone he met, he was known for his kindness, generosity and infectious smile.  Tyler would have given the shirt off of his back to a stranger if it meant helping someone else out.  He was always ready for a good joke and truly had a heart of gold. He graduated from Hope High School in June of 2015 and although he didn't know what he wanted to do; it was for certain that he was ready to work hard in life while being able to help others.  Tyler went to work for Minh Thach at Reddy Air Conditioning and Heating of Palacios in 2018 where he dedicated himself to learning the trade of heating and cooling technician. Minh remembers Tyler as "hardworking, trustworthy and how it was a blessing to have worked with him.  He could always be counted on and caught on quickly to the trade".  His diagnosis in 2019 did not stop him from living life to the fullest.  He looked at each day as another opportunity for God to use him and was constantly praising God for his strength through the many treatments he endured.  Tyler wanted to point others to Christ and encourage them to give God the glory in whatever trials they may be going through themselves.  He was preceded in death by his grandfather James Tesch, Grandmother Cookie Johnson, and his beloved lab Moose.  Tyler is survived by his parents, Daniel and Cheryl Tesch, his brother Jacob Tesch, his sister Abigail Tesch, his niece Kona Lynn Tesch, his grandparents Gerald Johnson, Dorothy Witt (Eddy), Janice Reeder (Samuel), his aunt Beverly Pilcik (Gus), Shay Riehle (Greg), his uncle Mike Tesch (Luanne), many cousins, and his beloved lab Duke.  He also leaves behind many dear friends and extended family members who will always cherish the memories they shared with him.  A celebration of Tyler's life will be held on September 7, 2024, at 11:00am at the Olivia Community Center (50 CR 304 Port Lavaca, TX).  There will be a motorcycle ride to Weedhaven Shooting Range for a special ceremony.  In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Tyler's memory to purchase trees for his property in Olivia, Texas.  Those interested can deposit money directly into a local Prosperity Bank by sing the note "Cheryl Tesch Benefit for Tyler Tesch" or through cashapp at $CherylTesch.  Please RSVP for the celebration of life directly to Cheryl at 361-212-6509.  Tyler's spirit and zest for life will never be forgotten.  Though he left us far too soon, his legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire those who knew him.  "I have fought a good fight.  I have finished my course.  I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7
