Walter Janssen, Sr. 93, of Ganado, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2019. He was born on Wednesday, February 10, 1926 in Yoakum, Lavaca County, Texas to Henry Janssen and Augusta Gerjes Janssen. On November 7, 1964 Walter married the love of his life; Evelyn Frysak, and together they raised their two children; Shirley Ann and Walter, Jr.,Walter is survived by his wife Evelyn and his son Walter, Jr., sisters: Edna Stafford and Velma Howard. He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Shirley Ann Janssen Crisp, sister; Evelyn Stojanek, and his brothers Alfred Janssen and Ernest Janssen

There will be a visitation on Wednesday, July 24, beginning at 9:00 am with Rosary being recited at 9:30 am and Funeral Mass beginning at 10:00 am at Assumption Catholic Church in Ganado with Father Kirby Hlavaty officiating, interment will follow at Assumption Catholic Cemetery, also in Ganado.
